Nursery

Mt Beenak Orchids was established at Three Bridges in Victoria in 1979 which makes us one of the oldest established orchid nurseries still trading in Australia.

We have sold many types of cool growing orchids since then, but now specialise in Masdevallias, Oncidiums (formerly called Odontoglossums), and Sarcochilus. The majority of our stock is raised from our own breeding but we also import many new clones from overseas nurseries. Having our own laboratory gives us quality control and the flexibility to maintain stock levels.

The majority of our sales are through this website.

In Victoria we do some local shows so you can see some of our select plants on display or purchase from the sales area. It is always a pleasure to meet our customers at these events.

Mail Order

Our nursery has always specialised in Mail Order and we have a great deal of experience in packing orchids. We no longer have accreditation to send plants to all States in Australia. Orders are dispatched on Monday after  receipt of order unless special circumstances prevent it. We only charge for postage not for packing. Minimum Mail Order $50.00 in plant value. Postage is extra.

Postage  is  $16.00 per parcel for Victoria Express Mail, Interstate orders Express Mail is $19.00. We  send most order Express Mail.

Tasmanian and WA customers please note as of June 17th 2022 we will no longer be accredited to send plants to your states. We have been accredited for about 40 years but because of the cost of the chemicals required for the spray treatment, inspections and paperwork we have decided not to offer this service any longer. We are sad that it has come to this as we have some wonderful customers in those states but sometimes reality bites.
